What it is:

“Growing up in Long Lake, NY, I have always been interested in traditional folk music. My first album, “Sawdust”, blended bluegrass and modern folk styles, and focused heavily on the stories of growing up in the Adirondack Mountains. My second album, “The North Country Sessions,” separates itself a bit from the traditional folk genre, incorporating rock and blues styles as well. “The North Country Sessions” was released in April of 2012, and will be followed by an East Coast tour.” – Alex Smith
